"Highly recommended! My family order take away and have eaten in Mamas and Papas regularly since it opened and it is excellent. The food is consistently fresh, delicious and well prepared. The owners, cook Emily and her husband Kevin, front of house, are wonderful and always provide friendly service and quality food. It is obvious that they take pride in what they do and it shows in the food served. The inside dining area of the restaurant is a little small but the outside area makes up for it and is really pleasant to sit in and enjoy a meal. We are lucky to have such a great local Japanese restaurant and will definitely keep coming back . We highly recommend this restaurant !"

"A Japanese run store with only one chef and one front of house staff with some indoor seating as well as nicely decked out outdoor seating out the back. The venue was nicely decorated and has photos of the food and other memorabilia along the walls inside. The food is good, though dishes can be a bit rich and heavily smothered in strong sauces compared to other similar authentic Japanese restaurants. Prices have also just gone up $1 for most mains but were yet to be reflected in the menu available at the time, making the food not particularly cheap."

"We ordered the chilli teriyaki chicken and the chicken katsu curry. Both are absolutely delicious. The fresh and juicy chicken is unmatched. The curry comes in a small coffee cup for ease of transport and to keep the katsu crisp. There is a generous amount of curry and sauce for the meals. Would highly recommend"
